Customer Reviews

The best way to judge a builder is to hear from the people they've worked for. Below, you'll find reviews from our customers across Nottingham and the surrounding areas, covering everything from home extensions and loft conversions to driveways and landscaping. Many mention the same things: work finished on schedule, prices that matched the quote, and homes left clean and tidy throughout the build.

• Christy and his team did a garage conversion for us, turning our built-in garage into an office room, as well as dealing with some unforeseen bathroom leak issues from the floor above. The work was completed promptly and to a very high standard, despite delays caused by suppliers, who Christy had no problem chasing down when necessary! They're also all bloody good blokes! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Christy and his team to anyone looking to have building work done to their property.

• We had a single storey extension with a flat roof, bi-fold doors and our kitchen and dining room knocked through. Throughout the whole process Christy and his team kept us updated and fully involved at all points. He ensured that we were aware of time schedules and any slippage (this hardly happened) as well as keeping us informed of any remedial work needed. This was our first 'build' and Christy was great in ensuring we understood our options when making decisions. His team were great and we would highly recommend him.

• Christy and his team of builders were fantastic from start to finish. We couldn’t be happier that we chose them, based on the glowing reviews from other customers.
They completed a large single-storey extension for us, integrating our original garage and supporting an addition of a blue/green roof. On top of that, we asked them to create a porcelain patio and decking area at the rear of our garden, which look fab.
Even before we made our decision to go with Hegartys, Christy was incredibly helpful, guiding us through build-over agreements and materials choices with patience and expertise.
Throughout the project, the team proved themselves trustworthy, polite, and a pleasure to have around. We always felt completely at ease with them. As with any build, challenges arose, but no matter the time, Christy or a member of his team was always there to support us. Christy is solution focused and this was always welcomed.
Christy listened carefully to our ideas, worked with us on areas we weren’t sure about, and suggested thoughtful improvements that really enhanced our vision. We appreciated his advice and took it on board throughout.
We are absolutely delighted with the final result and would not hesitate to recommend Christy and his team to anyone considering a project in the future.

• We engaged Christy and his team to build a single storey extension to the rear of our property and we knew very quickly that we had made a wise choice in choosing them. Christy prepared a schedule of works and consistently achieved the weekly milestones keeping the project on track to completion. There was great communication throughout and nothing was too much trouble for Christy or his team. We felt completely at ease having them around, a trustworthy and friendly group, they were a pleasure to have on site. We are delighted with the end result and wouldn’t hesitate in working with Hegarty Building Services again or recommending them to others.

• We had Christy and his team around to build us a garage and porch. His quote was very good and detailed compared to others we recieved. We were so happy with his work we got them back to do our driveway and garden walls.

  Deanna - Ravenshead, Nottingham

• We have been very impressed with Christy and his team. He came to quote for the job the day after I phoned & even did some research on the best way to sort a problem with the roof. He arrived when he said he would, worked very hard & always left everything very tidy. We are delighted with the finished job - replacing rotten fascia boarding & rendering walls which needed careful preparation as they were in such bad condition.

  Angela - West Bridgford, Nottingham

• My wife and I engaged this company for a mid-size extension to our bungalow in Aslockton. The proprietor, Christy Hegarty, submitted a very realistic quote and subsequently completed the job exactly on schedule. We were very happy with the quality of the build and Christy gladly accommodated us with the inevitable extras that crop up, again at realistic prices. Several weeks later we called him again and he returned to lay a series of patios and paths for us around the property - also an excellent job. That we have used this company twice speaks for itself. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

  Stephen - Aslockton, Nottingham

• We have been really impressed with Christy and his team. They built us a rear extension and it was completed on time, at the cost that was quoted at the outset and to a very high standard. We are so happy we decided to use Hegarty building services, they have done such a good job and we would 100% recommend them. We will certainly use them again.
